THE SMITH FAMILY

The Smith Family is an awesome children's charity aimed at helping disadvantaged Australian children get the most out of their education. As Edwards Hall is a residence to many people seeking a further education, The Smith Family has a very close connection to the college. Edwards Hall has supported The Smith Family and will continue to in the future.

THE AUSTRALIAN RED CROSS BLOOD SERVICE

The Australian Red Cross Blood Service is well described in its name. This service provides facilities all around Australia where people can donate blood. The blood donated can be used for up to 22 different treatments including trauma accidents, cancer patients and people with a blood disease. Residents of Edwards Hall are given the opportunity to donate blood regularly each year at a donation trailer on campus. TEDS will continue to donate.

THE MCGRATH Foundation

The McGrath Foundation was set up by the well known cricketer Glenn McGrath after his wife lost her battle with breast cancer.  The foundation raises money to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities all across Australia. The foundation raises awareness through their website, mass events such as cricket games, and through community groups such as Edwards Hall. Edwards Hall organised a specific event named Mystery Bus in 2015 to raise money for the McGrath Foundation, and has continued running the event to this day.

THE LEUKAEMIA FOUNDATION

As a college we have participated in the Worlds Greatest Shave a number of times. This year, we have raised over $5000 towards The Leukaemia Foundation. This is both online and personal donation leading up to the event, and then once more during the event we auction off the shaving rights. This event is one of the favourites here at Edwards Hall. It allows everyone to get involved, whether by shaving their head, doing the shaving, donating some money, or merely encouraging those who are putting their head on the line.
